There’s something truly magical about Disney treats. Whether you’re walking down Main Street U.S.A. or exploring Avengers Campus, every bite seems to come with a sprinkle of pixie dust. I’ve taken some of my all-time favorite Disneyland and Disney World desserts and given them a Cake by Courtney twist—so you can recreate the magic in your own kitchen! Here are six Disney-inspired desserts you can make at home, along with where to find the originals in the parks.
6 Disney-Inspired Desserts You Can Make at Home
1. The Grey Stuff Cake
“Try the grey stuff, it’s delicious!”
The first of the Disney inspired cake recipes, is this show-stopping cake is my take on the iconic “Grey Stuff” dessert from Be Our Guest Restaurant at Magic Kingdom in Disney World. I layered a rich chocolate cake with cookies and cream mousse. It’s elegant, whimsical, and surprisingly easy to make.

2. Millionaire Cake
Inspired by the decadent layered dessert from The Cake Bake Shop Bakery in Disney’s Boardwalks, this cake combines chocolate cake, shortbread crumble, caramel filling, vanilla buttercream and a silky chocolate ganache. It’s indulgent, rich, and every bite feels like a million bucks.

3. Dole Whip Cake
You don’t need a ticket to Adventureland to enjoy the tropical magic of the beloved Dole Whip. My version of this Disney dessert-turned cake has layers of fluffy pineapple cake with pineapple curd and a smooth pineapple buttercream. It’s bright, refreshing, and perfect for summer.
???? Find the original in: Aloha Isle, Magic Kingdom OR The Tiki Juice Bar, Disneyland

4. Choco Smash Cake
This one’s for my Marvel fans! Inspired by the epic Choco Smash Candy Bar/Cake from Pym Test Kitchen at Disney California Adventure, my cake features layers of chocolate, peanut butter nougat, caramel, and brownie. It’s everything you love about the original—just bigger and better (and maybe even more heroic).

5. Peanut Butter Overload Bars
These bars are inspired by the cult-favorite Disneyland Peanut Butter Blondies found in their Grand Californian Hotel at Disneyland. My bars are layered with a thick peanut butter blondie base, peanut butter chips, peanut butter, and a Reese’s Pieces. They’re dangerously addictive.

6. Peanut Butter Graham Cake
This cake takes one of my favorite treats hidden at Pooh’s Corner and turns it into the most decadent and delicious Disney-inspired layered cake. The original version of this peanut butter bar at Disneyland had a graham cracker layer, with peanut butter mousse and a hard chocolate shell. The newer version is made without the graham cracker element and I’m so sad. Luckily my cake was inspired by the OG and graham cracker crust, graham cracker cake layers, peanut butter frosting, and a chocolate shell.

Bring the Magic Home
Each of these cakes and bars is a love letter to the Disney parks—made with the same joy, creativity, and a touch of wonder. Whether you’re planning a Disney-themed party or just missing your favorite treats, these recipes are a fun way to bring the parks right into your kitchen.
